SEC considers relaxing rules or allowing retail investors to invest in encryption assets and private sale.

[Coin World] Paul Atkins, Chairman of the SEC, stated that the SEC will collaborate with the Trump administration to expand opportunities for retail investors to invest in private sales of equity, including alternative assets such as Crypto Assets into 401K retirement accounts. Atkins emphasized the need to set "appropriate guardrails" to protect investors, while noting that current rules exclude retail investors from investments such as private Token sales. The SEC has recently prioritized Crypto regulation, but declined to comment on reforms to accredited investors rules.
