Fostering Hope and Homes: Gate Charity's Stray Animal Care Event in Taipei

Gate Charity, a global non-profit philanthropic organization, is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its event, themed “Care for Stray Animals,” which took place in collaboration with the Be Kind to Animal Association on August 31, 2023. This event aimed to provide support for stray animals and raise awareness about their well-being.

An innovative aspect of the event involves the utilization of blockchain technology for NFT charity sales and community marketing. During the event, Gate Charity connected attendees with the animals by storytelling about the animals’ names, ages, and backgrounds. This approach increased user engagement and encouraged the adoption of these animals.

To encourage adoption, Gate Charity also facilitated a special initiative: when an animal was adopted, a photo of the adopted pet and the contact information of the adopter was captured. Adopters will also be invited to register a Gate.io account to record their UID. As a token of appreciation, one month after the adoption, the adopter will receive a unique NFT celebrating their adopted pet.

The event runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and involves a range of activities to benefit the animals under the care of the Be Kind to Animal Association. The Gate Charity team of 5 members contributed their time and efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of these animals.

Participants of the event donated materials that are essential for the animals’ care, such as feed, changing pads, cat litter, and large towels. The morning kicked off with an introduction to Gate Charity and Gate.io, followed by the donation of these essential items.

Throughout the event, volunteers actively engaged in park cleaning, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for the animals. The volunteers took part in feeding stray dogs and cats, providing companionship, and contributing to their well-being.

Gate Charity is thrilled about this opportunity to collaborate with the Be Kind to Animal Association and make a positive impact on the lives of stray animals in Taiwan. The organization encourages individuals and businesses to participate, donate, and explore opportunities for cross-industry cooperation to support animal welfare.
